Gentle Care Pilates Program
Beyond Basics Physical Therapy offers a Pilates one-on-one program. Our Pilates Instructors specialize in pelvic floor rehab, pre-natal/post-partum care and orthopedic, sports and dance-related injuries. Our program is especially tailored to the needs of patients with pelvic floor concerns or chronic pain, addressing the unique challenges faced by such patients in the later stages of their rehabilitation process. We guide our clients/patients to tune-in to their bodies’ responses and needs during our sessions, and build appropriate strategies of modifying exercises to suit these needs. In this way, our patients become empowered to safely re-enter the general exercise and movement arena, where they can eventually pursue the fitness regimen of their choice.
Outside clients and non-patients are also welcome in our Pilates program! Private sessions can be taught according to the level and goals of each client. We provide a relaxing, inviting atmosphere in which seasoned and new practitioners alike, can deeply encounter the simpler movements of the Pilates form, examine the interconnectedness of their own functional anatomy, and learn to move through and around their current fitness barriers. Anyone will be able to achieve better wellness and fitness with the help of our Pilates instructors.
Our bright and open Physical Therapy gym has luxurious, professional thickness exercise mats. We have studio-grade Balanced Body Pilates Reformer and Springboard apparatus, as well as an array of traditional and non-traditional Pilates accessories.

Beyond Basics Pilates focuses on good core stabilization in order to decrease the patient’s symptoms and improve posture and body mechanics. Our Pilates Program can improve many musculoskeletal, pre-natal and post-partum conditions, as well as help with general health, fitness and prevention of injuries. For a client with pelvic pain or history of pelvic pain, one must strengthen the core without overuse of the pelvic muscles. In clients with incontinence, we need to train the core muscles while strengthening the pelvic muscles.
