Covid-19 Announcement

To our dear community,

We are reaching out to you in these difficult times to express our hope that you are safe and well. As always, we are committed to your health and want to help you maintain your physical therapy program as much as possible.

Beyond Basics Midtown and Downtown are open for appointments, according to the designation that we are an essential healthcare facility for treating patients for non-COVID-19 related conditions. For those of you who cannot come into our office, we are now offering virtual videoconference/telehealth appointments.

We value our patients’ and staffs’ health above all else, and we are all in this together. As a result we have very strict criteria to be met before a patient or employee enters our offices. We are closely monitoring the CDC and WHO websites and taking necessary precautions:

  • Cleaning protocols have been ramped up. Patients are asked to wash their hands upon entering as well as before and after using any equipment. The offices are undergoing daily routine disinfections and disinfections after each patient.
  • Hand Sanitizer Available. We have hand sanitizer available throughout our offices for the use of both staff and patients.
  • Staff members exhibiting any symptoms that the CDC guidelines mention will be asked to stay home without question. This may result in appointment changes. We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience.
  • Everyday precautions. Washing hands for at least 20 seconds, using hand sanitizer when hand washing is not available, and sneezing into a tissue and discarding the tissue.
  • Physical therapists can wear masks at a patient's request.
  • Our staff members are currently not traveling. We are following the guideline to have less than 50% of employees physically in each office. This may result in schedule changes and we appreciate your patience and flexibility at this time. Additionally, we are asking our patients to inform us of any recent travel, quarantining, or any symptoms which are mentioned in the CDC guidelines.

To our patients who are exhibiting symptoms of the Coronavirus (fever, cough, shortness of breath), we ask that you please reschedule your appointment at Beyond Basics. Please consider contacting your primary care physician for further support.

Please take care of yourselves, continue your exercises, and follow all the guidelines to minimize the spread of the coronavirus. We look forward to seeing you at Beyond Basics soon.
